Doctoral Student Teacher Scholar Competition
This annual competition is held concurrently with the MMA Fall Educators Conference to recognize outstanding doctoral students. A panel of reviewers selects three finalists based on the written submissions, each of whom will give a 15-minute mini-teaching presentation to conference attendees and judges. The judges select the competition winner based on these presentations. The winner receives the MMA Outstanding Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Student Award and $1,000. The other two finalists each receive MMA Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Student Excellence Awards and $250. Other noteworthy entrants may receive MMA Meritorious Teacher-Scholar Doctoral Student Awards. MMA recognizes all award winners at the Thursday conference awards lunch.
