MBAA Hotel Information Update

Colleagues,

The anticipation of the 2008 MBAA International conference, featuring The Buckinghams in concert, has led to a complete sell out at The Drake Hotel. We have secured a very good overflow option just a few doors down the street. The Residence Inn is making a limited number of rooms available for the same $185 rate we have at The Drake.

It is very important that you book your room very soon – our rooms and rates are only guaranteed through next Friday, March 14. Please use the MBAA International web site to book your room if possible. ( http://www.mbaainternational.org/conf.htm ) Otherwise call 800.331.3131, ask for rooms at the Residence Inn Chicago – Downtown, and identify yourself with MBAA International.

The Residence Inn is a “suite type” hotel and our rooms are called studio suites – with free breakfast, fully equipped kitchens, complementary dinner on Wednesday evening, and complementary social hour Monday through Thursday.

The Residence Inn will be listed on the web site in such a way as to satisfy the travel policy needs many of us have for an “official” hotel.

Chicago makes a great location for an academic conference. Chicago is always alive with activity, including (1) outstanding world-class shopping on the Magnificent Mile, State Street and beyond; (2) a variety of sporting events, clubs, theaters, cultural events, and attractions, and (3) more four-star restaurants than any other U.S. city. In addition, included with the conference registration is a group night out at Chicago's famous Second City Theatre or the Chicago Symphony.
