Dr. David L. Kurtz
The Marketing Management Association is delighted to recognize Dr. David L. Kurtz, for his many innovative contributions to the marketing discipline, at this year's spring Marketing Management Association conference. Dr. Kurtz will be the keynote speaker at the MMA Awards Brunch on Thursday, April 3rd, from 10:45 am - 1:15 pm.
David L. Kurtz is currently Distinguished Professor of Marketing and holds the R.A. and Vivian Young Chair of Business Administration at the University of Arkansas. Kurtz formerly served as Chair of the University's Department of Marketing and Logistics.
Professor Kurtz is the author, co-author, or editor of over 50 books and 130 articles, papers, reviews, cases, and proceedings. Dr. Kurtz's scholarly work has appeared in such publications as the Journal of Marketing , Journal of Retailing , and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science . Kurtz was the first editor of the Journal of Marketing Management (now the Marketing Management Journal ).
Dave Kurtz's textbooks are widely used in collegiate schools of business. Roughly 6.5 million students have studied from Dr. Kurtz Texts. Both of his major books – Contemporary Marketing and Contemporary Business – have been honored with the prestigious William Holmes McGuffey award for Textbook Excellence and Longevity.
