All papers submitted for this issue should follow the guidelines listed below:
All manuscripts are to be submitted electronically to the editor in either WordPerfect or Word. Articles received that have employed other word processing packages will be returned to the authors without being reviewed. Articles should be submitted as attachments to an e-mail to the editor at spetros@cba.bgsu.edu.
Each submission should include:
- A cover page listing the title, each author's name, address, affiliation, phone number, e-mail address, and an indication of which section of the Journal the article has been submitted for: Educational Research or Professional Development. Unless otherwise noted, the editor will consider the author originating the manuscript submission as the preferred contact author.
- A title page with the title listed as well as an abstract of no more than 100 words. Author identification or affiliation should not appear anywhere in the manuscript except for the cover page.
References:
- All references should appear alphabetically by the author's last name in a reference page at the end of the manuscript.
Example: Kurtz, Dave (2001), "Signing a Contract to Write a Textbook: Planning, Co-authors, Negotiations, and Contract Provisions," Journal for Advancement of Marketing Education, Vol. 1, p. 22-33.
- Citations in the body of the text should include only the author's last name and date in parentheses, such as (Kurtz 2001). Page numbers should be included after the date if a particular page number is cited, e.g., (Kurtz 2001, p.29). If possible, the citation should be placed just before the punctuation mark. If the authors last name is used in the text, only the year is placed in parentheses, such as "According to Kurtz (2001)...."
- Work cited by the same author in the same year is distinguished by lower case letters after the date.
- Footnotes should not be used for reference purposes.
- Authors are encouraged to examine past journal articles. For additional questions regarding style, refer to the latest issue of the Chicago Manual of Style or contact the editor.
Editorial Policy/Sponsorship:
JAME is published by the Marketing Management Association which also publishes The Marketing Management Journal (TMMJ). Consistent with TMMJ, the Editorial Review Board of JAME spends considerable time reviewing manuscripts and interprets the submission of a manuscript as a commitment to publish the article. Therefore, it is expected that the article is not currently under submission to another journal. Manuscripts accepted become the copyright of JAME.
The Editorial Board reserves the right for stylistic editing of manuscripts accepted for publication if necessary. If major stylistic editing is necessary, a copy will be sent to the authors for review.
